THE HELFY GUIDE

What does a drinking-water filter actually do?

Understanding your system starts with the simple things: how the water moves, what is inside and how to look after it.

What does a drinking-water filter actually do?

First, get to know your system

The Helfy 8.5L system is a two-chamber gravity filter. Water is added to the upper chamber and passes through two carbon elements into the lower chamber. The tap dispenses water from the lower chamber, with no electricity required.

Different filters do different jobs

Filtration is not one universal process. The media, design and contact time all matter. A product should be chosen for its documented performance and the water source it is intended for.

A stainless-steel body, a high stage count or the presence of carbon does not by itself establish a particular contaminant-reduction claim. Check the information supplied for your exact model.

Make it part of your day

Place your system on a stable, level surface and follow the supplied assembly and preparation instructions. Keep the lid in place, use the intended water source and clean the system as directed.

Keep a reusable bottle nearby to make refilling part of breakfast, getting ready for work or heading out.

Care is part of the routine

Keep your instructions and note when you fit the elements. Follow the replacement guidance for those elements and ask Helfy Hub if you need help choosing the correct pair.
